Gday AllI'm curious as to what fuel economy I can expect to be pulling out of a twin turbo Zed.Don't be affraid to post shockingly poor numbers. My current car is slightly modified RX-7 turbo. Fuel economy and a rotary turbo are terms never to be spoken about together. She has a 55 litre tank and the furthest I've ever gone is 420kms on that, highway cruising down south. Average consumption would be 300-350kms from 55 litres. Nothing will scare me off after that =)

    probably similar to the RX-7

I get about 320-500km off 60L of optimax. Can never get more than about 350km around town, but my car seems to be at the extreme end of the scale compared to other members here.

I'm with JT, I'd be luck to get 300km from

a full tank of fuel. May be able to stretch it a bit more with some more tuning, but I can't imagine it will be much more.

Tend to get 400-450km out of ~55L

This is mostly from driving to and from work (mix of cruise and city)

Nearly 700k's from a full tank.

Counting the reserve of course. :)
Nearly ten k's per litre sittin' at 110 on the CC.
Or about two kays per litre the way I drove to the Post Office today. LOL (ten kays and used five litres easy)
Better economy then a rotary for sure!

    13.5L/100 city, 11.5L/100 hwy

And I get stuck into it a little bit around town (nothing to major, but occasionally give it the plant).

    My Stage 3+ Z - 11 to 13 l/100 km

This is fairly typical of a Z that is running well. Some Z's get shocking fuel consumption, but I'm sure that has to be a reason. For a 55 litre fill, I usually get around 450 km. On the run to Gilgandra, I got 10 l/100km (500km on a 50 litres).
If you are looking for shocking figures, I'm sure you'll get them, but this will be fairly typical.
    See Ya,
    Garry

Look at buying cheaper petrol perhaps

I have for the last year gained significant savings by using un-manned petrol stations, they will run an account for you and bill you monthly, with mine as I am not a business, I granted them access to my account to direct withdrawl, they send me a statement 2 weeks prior to taking out the money. The savings come from avoiding the ups and downs of prices at the pump, overall savings are hard to calculate, however there have been a few occasions that I have noted the pump prices, then filled up and checked on the statement for that day and every time the price was 4-8 cents p/l cheaper. (running premium hi octane) as for what mine drinks... well hey I could not care less I own a Z for the sheer un-adulterated joy of driving it. Must be love...:-Z

    I get 330k's from 55litres, more if I run a

stock ROM. This is city driving though. I think the best I got from a stock 93TT ROM on the way to Gilgandra was 450k's.

    i own a fc3s series 4 rx-7.

i'll get 200-250 if im lucky. $50 tank. 400-450 is like a blessing to hear in comparison. Hopefully, you'll see me on the road soon with a TT ZX. Furthermore, if you do own a turbo car, couldn't you jus limit the boost for better fuel consuption???
