    Hi guys,

Got what appears to be a common problem with zeds (won't start every now and then when the engine warm, but sometimes will...and will with a push start)

Dont worry I'm not asking for help regarding this...just yet, I'm currently running through all the old posts trying to learn as much as possible about it.

What I do need help with is finding a Fuel Pump for my 1990 manual NA zed as I think this may be part of the issue - when I pump the gas in neutral it doesnt rev as fluently as it should then takes a 5 - 10 seconds to drop to the right idle it sort of hiccups.

As far as I know it drives around 90% when I put my foot down (I am new to zed's though so not 100% sure)

At the moment I just want to know what pump I need and where I can get one, preferably a straight switch.

    Cheers

If you suspect a defective fuel pump, perform a fuel pressure test.

Google CZP mate, he supplies anything and usually much cheaper than anyone else.

Bypassed the fuel pressure controller and changed the 'fast idle' connector (that is located between the engine block and radiator fan) which was faulty. Now all problems solved (as far as I know) and car runs a lot smoother.

Sounds like you were referring to the coolant temperature sensor?

You should take the FPCU to a tv repair shop and have them fix the broken circuit traces on the board. Usually one or two of the solder joints goes out. Or if you are solder savvy you can do it yourself pretty easy. When you bypass the FPCU the fuel pump runs 100% all of the time resulting in a louder interior cabin and less lifespan of the fuel pump.
