Fuel consumption

    ok maybe i dont have a fuel consumption problem....

    about a few months ago i put a thread up about 250 - 270kms out a tank.
    then my car got stolen so i lost real intrest in my Z. so i lent it to my mate for a month. just got it back and ask him how much fuel he was using he got 370kms out of a tank.......


    ummmmm maybe its my driving ahahhahaha

    how were you measuring 'a tank' and how was your friend measuring 'a tank'?

    ... please, please .... !!!!! ... as noted in 27,000 similar threads, "kilometres per tank" is a meaningless measurement .....

    ... the simple formula of "total litres divided by total km/100 = litres per 100km" will give you your fuel consumption ..... so,

    1. fill your tank, set your trip metre to "000" ... drive for any number of days then hit the servo ..... fill your tank and note the tripmeter reading ....

    2. say, for example sake, it took 60 litres to fill the tank and you had driven 300km ...

    3.... 60 litres divided by 300/100 = 20 litres per 100km ....

    4. reset your tripmeter and do it all over again ... and now you have empirical data to work on ...
