    Hi Guys,

Can somebody kindly post up some pictures of where you put your safety stands when you jack the front of the car up?

    Cheers

Hi, I put them under the rails as a first preference....

Yep, rails towards the front. Under the back there is a couple of convenient little spots the perfect size for them just in front of the rear subframe mounts.

That's what I thought and this site below says to put the stands on the frame rail but it doesn't feel solid enough to support the weight of the car, if you tap it with your hand it sounds extremely thin and hollow??:

I hate it when some people just say read the FSM, so I'll say that if you have an Android tablet or phone, go to the playstore and grab the free Nissan 300zx FSM, while it is still there. :D

I sort of understand what your concerns are, so l looked it up.
I also bought some wheel ramps so l can get under there and have a real good look.

I have read the article you posted and noted the comment on last picture, wish that some previous mechanics understood the damage that their flat lifting pads cause on the under body seam.

Didn't know about the FSM App, thanks! Just downloaded it, sure it'll come in handy.

The frame rails support the weight of the car all the time so they should be strong enough :p

Anyone l have mentioned it to in passing conv have said everyone here would already know or it's on this site or other websites as PDF anyway.

Me personally, sometimes l don't have internet access and have found its indexed reference convenient, even on a small phone screen :)
