Hey Zedders Just some questions - is the below front bar from ZCentre a copy of the twin bar or did some one buy the centre bar and with a little bit of filler smooth out the top edge of the SMIC intake vents..? Red pic is from the Zcentre Web and the rest have probably been seen before. Only reason I ask is that I like both versions and someone good with fibreglass and Filler could smooth a Zcentre bar with a little work and have it look very similar to the one in the white car pics without the top edges. Anyone agree? Thoughts? Much appreciated :br:
yes it is, but its of their very first bar. Few changes were made in later iterations & they have a new version currently in the works. Z Centre actually used to be an official dealer for twinz until they started selling their own copies of the bar, this is why twinz is so careful about who sells their products now.
Thats the world we live in. They would be naive to think it would never happen, also given their asking price (price is another whole other argument, I'm not going there) it was inevitable. So yea, given those points, it was only a matter of time. As for the copy, I don't like it. I LOATHE anyone who tries to f*ck with the original shape of the Front Bar for the Z32. I refuse to accept/buy any bar that flares out around the edge like that. A BIG reason why I loved the TwinZ one. This copy makes me :vomit: ...whats even sadder, is someday I might swallow my pride and buy it, because its evident I will never see a real TwinZ one. MoulaZX
Having something copied by a random 3rd party your not affiliated with, like ams, is one thing but this was their authorised agent, so no they shouldn't have expected that. It would be like uas taking a mould of every item from the group buy then selling them alongside the original products. (not in anyway saying uas would actually do this!) You say you hate the copy but love the real bar, this is a copy of a first gen twinz bar, its just like all the original twinz bars you see on the US forums. Their white car has a newer version but dont think it went to market, a new one has been "in the works" for years.
True, chance to predict that must have been low, but the low supply, high cost TwinZ have put forth, must have made it too tempting I guess...? I've only ever seen the 'newer' version. Then in that case, I guess I only want the new version, still doesn't change my previous statement/opinion. I don't like when any bar flares out around the edge. MoulaZX
if you look closely it's slightly modified when compared to the original Twinz bar. they added 2 edges to the side intakes hence now they can claim it's their own product. still, pretty low act IMO.
