Time has come to sell my z. Sad to see it go, I still like driving it around. I was having trouble with it breaking down and it turned out that I needed a new battery connector but I spent a bit of money on it figuring it out and then an 2004 fpv ute came up with a good history and a good price, so I bought it. Wouldn't mind keeping it for the weekends but I need the money to pay off part of the ute. It has 146XXX on the speedo but I had a new engine put in it after I got it. The new engine has done about 50XXX. Just been run in. Good points: Upgraded radiator, Silicone radiator hoses, Silicone intercooler hoses, New targa and door rubbers put in about a year ago, Shifter bushes replaced about a year ago, Nice mags, cant remember the name but they were worth about 3000 when they came out. I bought them from a forum member. Doof doof sound system. Kenwood head deck with usb and ipod input. And bluetooth with a microphone near the sun visor. Two subs in a custom shagadilc speaker boxes. One is a lightning audio and the other is a clarion, powered by a fusion amp. There was another fusion amp but it was busted and I ended up chucking it. The wiring is still there for another amp, one for each sub. Kicker rear speakers in speaker oem speaker boxes. I cant remember what the boxes are called. Polk front speakers in the group buy speaker boxes. Polk tweeters in the door. There is a $1000 when new kenwood amp behind the passenger seat powering the speakers in the cabin bought from a forum member. Nice sports steering wheel, alarm and immobiliser, new battery and connectors, boost guage, turbo timer, it has a little switch for jacking up the boost. It was in it when I bought it but I never used it. It is not good for engines without upgrading the computer. Never been used on the engine I put in it. Top of the range at the time neon lights down both sides and at the back. You can change colours, get them flashing up and down in heaps of different sequences and there is a easy to reach switch to turn them off if the cops are chasing you. Two and a half inch cat back exhaust with a three inch outlet on the muffler. It sounds really nice. It has got a lovely burble. I'm going to miss it heaps. It didn't need much for the roadworthy, just small stuff. I have an original steering wheel in the post over from perth at the moment for the rwc and it needs a new windscreen. I figured I would put that off until I have a buyer in case murphys law ambushes me. Bad bits, The body needs some love. It was keyed before I bought it and I was always going to get it painted but I never got around to it. Rego is due soon. It has always been reliable mechanically and still is. It is a popular car with all the young blokes around town and I figured I might be selling it to someone I knew, so I wanted to find and fix the battery clamp issue before I sold it. I figured I would advertise it on the forum and then start putting it on the front lawn during the day. $8500 with a rwc. It doesn't need any money spent on it mechanically.
