for those hks type bov's from the groupbuy that cannot hold pressure, i have come up with a fix.

i used a spring that can be purchased from bunnings. part number: C-830

they are an american made compression springs. unfortunately they didn't supply a bigger diamater spring so i had to slightly angle grind the sharp edges off the octagonal shapped alloy nut so the springs can actually comfortably fit through it. these springs are about double the length of the stock springs for these bov, i have cut mine exactly the same length and turn out to be much more stronger than the stock ones.

i have noticed that there is a part missing with these bov's, which is some alloy cylinder shapped piece which actually is attached/glued to the screw adjustment. this piece properly controls the level of valve opening of the bov's and without these (like the ones in the groupbuy) adjusting it to the max will only rely on the springs, which in this case is useless since the springs with the GB are dodgey.

this is a temporary fix for me as i am in the process of researching a proper set of bov's for the Z32. the reason is that i still come across my very initial stalling problems which i previously had when my car had the original (and old) hks ssq bov's but i will keep this setup for now as i think it is safer for the turbos when the main outlet pipes are blocked which i believe causes some back preasure for the turbos. if you can find a bigger diamater and stronger springs than the one i provided then i guarantee car should not stall and will hold pressure.

NOTE: these springs hold enough pressure to keep a stable idle but may cause stalling when going to a halt from high speed. if you can find stronger springs, this should fix the problem

    enjoy.

    edit#2: typos :)

All this stuffing around - I'm beginning to wonder if I'll even bother

    to put them in.

Also found that the supplied circlips are too big for the adaptors in my kit.

James said he is going to talk to the supplier because he put

a dodgy one for eveery working one from everybodies response concerning them. Maybe we can get all the faulty ones and replace them with a working one that doesnt leak. One of my ones is very good but the other is a peice of shit and looks used or somthing too.

So now is the waiting game to see if the supplier is going to fix it or we have to press legal action for selling faulty equiptment. And it was a farily big GB

GUys honestly, if i paid 400 odd bucks for a so called "HKS" i'd take it

back to the shop and get my money back. The fact that you pay so much money for something and the fact that you paid the extra money because it is "HKS" you have the right to expect nothing but the best quality.
Take them back and tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine and see if it makes a woosssshhh noise.

Anyway regardless of the price or make, get your money back, don't piss fart around

i'd rather that option too but i'd rather not spend $700-$800 on a pair of genuine ones. i don't need big brand names but i wouldn't mind seeing how the locally ones are made are like. and yes, i do regret getting this copy but hey, at least i've learned a thing or two

i've emailed james007 and if it 's possible for my money back i'd do it. if not at least hopefully i can get a good set from the supplier, if not then at least i've tinkered around the insides of a bov and no biggie about a $75 bov.
