Just a tip for anyone who has a car with the bose sound system. If hou have the original speaker boxes they are 4" in the front and 6.5" in the back. I had to "modify" my front boxes to take the 6.5" splits however the backs bolted straight up. Now i have to just find the time to tune it!!:eek:

ive got a very similar box that i made, however... what have you done about the hatch shade bar?? You obviously have ditched it? I designed my box to accomodate the bar, which also aids in keeping the box down and in position. Youll find yours will tip back when you take off hard.

ive just thrown in my alpine 12" type X and also just thrown in the dpx1.1000 and 1.150 amps in the boot. When i turn even slowley they slide around LOL.

Looks like a nice install, congrats.

Perhaps you could get black screws for the ports in the box though?

did you tune the ports to a certain fq? or just made them any size? have you worked out how many cubes the box is? i reckon you may be better of with 3-4" ports at a length of about 10-12"s

how can you recommend a port size and length without knowing box volume? I assume you looked up the theil parameters or have the same sub?

Yeah i worked on the volume of the box from the specs. It said to use a 82mm port. I couldnt find one so i got the closest i could being 2 off 50mm ones to add up to a similar cross sectional area.
