Dont know if any1 can help me but when i try to start my Z up (even if it has only been sitting for half an hour) it turns over fine but then the revvs drop right off and she almost conks out (actually did conk out on me today). Once she gets going its fine but i have to keep the revvs up for a bit. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Cheers

Might be the TPS (throttle position sensor)

out of adjustment or a faulty PTU. Try cleaning the contacts as per tech articles.

    IACV connector may need cleaning.

As cliff suggested, check TPS (TECH A-Z) for correct voltage setting & idle adjustment.

    Hi Mayhem

Also Check that your M.A.F. (Mass Air Flow) sensor is clean. I had trouble with this very item just recently. I cleaned the S.M.D. (Surface Mount Device) - the actual sensor inside the air flow meter assy. (because mine was dirty/oily from over use of air filter oil) with some Contact Cleaner. Just disassemble the whole filter and sensor and spray the cleaner to remove any grunge and this may be your problem...

Also check your water temp sensor and as Candu mentioned check your T.P.S. - make sure all those contacts in the connector are clean.

Can't believe this came up. Only recently I've been having the ...

    same problem.

I also thought the Air flow meter connections b/c once the revs drop low and you try to step on the accelerator the revs don't go past 2000rmp and engine sounds extremely Lethargic.

Once the car warms up, all is perfect again.

It only does this when cold or when stopped for a few hours.

It may be a vcum leak too..I was fitting a BOV last night which was

leaking and she was idling all over as well as nearely conking out on me numerous times. Discoverd it was a shithouse rubber seal causing the vacum leak... Maybe an idea.

    Yep 2nded on vacc leak

I had a similar experience after doing the plennum pull, tearing my hair out for days trying to work out where I screwed up. Turned out one of my intake pipes (going to TB) had a big crack in it that was leaking like nothing else.
