Quick question.. Factory z32 3spoke steering wheels.. Some have a badge on the centre horn piece others do not. Whats the difference? models? years? Ive noticed every single cruise control car has the badge?
They ALL have the badge (I'm not sure about airbag models) ...... if you see one without the badge, it has probably fallen off !!! I've had Cruise control and non cruise control zeds and they've both had the badge (except the one with the Moto- Lita steering wheel )
Whats got me questioning this is why would Nissan put a badge over the Z symbol embossed into the horn pad? Ill upload a picture shortly
Yeah as mentioned above, all 3 spoke wheels need the badge. Your badge is just damaged, pop it out & order a fresh one from Rob.
Those were just images off google. I may have found 1 i just wanted to know if there was a year / model that didnt have the badge as you can see from the second image there is a cut out for the badge to sit flush unlike the 1st image that has a raised Z symbol. Has anyone removed / replaced a badge and found the raised symbol underneath?
Edit.. Now i see what your talking about. The badge itself is still attached but the top coating has seperated. I dont have a stock wheel so im only going off images off google. All sorted, thanks for the replys!
Sorry for the confusion but glad your all sorted now! pretty much the only variation on the 3 spoke wheel seems to be version with a groove around the hornpad, not sure if that was a specific year or just an s13 version, but otherwise they all look the same
That i know about, yes 91+ s13 sr steering wheels look very similar. Thanks! ill go ahead and purchase this wheel. Its been quite hard locating a good condition wheel. I have a middle period TT man. slicktop that was optioned without SRS. The SRS wheels are quite easy to find!
Just get your old wheel retrimmed. For about $300 it's money well spent. You can see mine in my build thread.
The wheel was used in a few 90's nissans. If you have the nissan emblem, then either the centre pad or more likely the whole wheel has been replaced at some point.
