Is there any harm done by extending wires in the engine loom?

For example, If i added an extra 2 foot of wire into the 02 sensor harness
for tucking purposes, Will there be any noticeable problems?

    cheers

nope. Just remember that you can't solder the o2 sensor wire so i hear, some special protective surface? I dunno. But no, i've seen aftermarket o2 sensors with epic long cables, some use short as cables, all good

Nah, its the material the wire is made from. You will have to crimp the wire.

ah kk. Is it a different metal or is it sheathed in something? Crimp was the work i was after before btw, didn't mean that you couldn't extend them cos you can't use solder :D

Different metal as far as I know. Tekky was going on about it a little while ago.

    cheers guys!
So all good with all the other sensors/connectors?
I don't see there being any harm, better to be safe though.

Anybody know if this different type of metal wire in the 02's is in the engine harness aswell, or just from 02 sensor to its connector?

    Other sensors will be fine.

Not 100% sure on the wire in the rest of the harness for the O2's though.

Pretty sure its just the 02 to its connector.

then normal wires in the loom. From memory, the TPS sensor to its 3 pin connector is the same.
