I have been told my car blows smoke from the right hand exhaust under high rev's with boost. They say it isn't blue smoke more like white. There are no error code's  :zlove:

    More than likely...

It's a leaking turbo seal. Turbo seal smoke is whitish, and you can smell the burning oil. Not worth fixing/replacing until it gets a lot worse, and smokes badly at idle.

2nded ... don't go an rebuild anything just yet

many TT's smoke a little under boost. Unless you are leaving a smokescreen behind you, just relax and don't panic. Certainly you wouldn't be wanting to extract maximum power/up the boost to crazy levels as this will just accelerate the problem.

Also get things such as 02's and PCV's checked out first...

I will look into that. They tell me it's pretty bad. Some say it come's from both exhaust's. I know it has bad boost leaks. I fixed a intercooler leak but there seems to be one near the left hand turbo. Damn hard to find :)

Any ideas on how much this issue costs to fix? As apparently mine smokes a little as well, although I cant tell as it isnt that bad ATM, but I am pretty much all ready to up the power, have purchased all the goodies neccessary to do so. Should I get the dyno tune done anyway, and when the seals go replace them? Or should I fix the seals first then up the power? Or should I drive like a granny, fix the seals when they eventually fail & then up the power?

& does anyone know aprox how much longer the turbo seals will should last? FYI I am at 97,060km, unboosted 89 model.

Sorry to jump in the middle of the thread like this, but no point making my own when there is one already here.

I got my turbo's rebuilt and high flowed for $1900 for both. I thought that was pretty fair. I wouldn't be putting it on the dyno though or upping the boost. If your deadset on upgrading performance i would get the turbo's rebuilt before you do the mods, that way you know everything is sweet and you don't have to worry about mucking around fixing things afterwards
