i was wondering houw hard the exhaust gaskets were to get to, because i have heard a put put noise that effects idle until fully warm, Im guessing its from or around the dump pipe . Is this common to happen. And is it a hard/expensive job
well i know the NA exhaust is a REAL PITA to remove with the engine in, so I can only assume that the TT exhaust is even more so!
Very easy! Lift the whole car, use a long extention some WD40 14mm socket at the dump pipes, carefull with the temp sensors at the cats, the rubbers in the back can be unscrewed or simply pulled off but a real pain to put back on, try and get some help. When it's all off use a steel brush fitting and a drill clean the dump pipes and clean the exhaust, you can get some high temp silicon from repco for about $13 use enough of it! Good luck!
