Would the Evo 8 brembo calipers and 330mm rotors fit the zed? Or would it be hard to make them fit? What would I need to get them to fit?
U need to get adaptors made up to suit. Check out SAU i think there is a few ppl also interested in going that way . Regards Trev
Yeah it would be hard and very fidilly!! My Suggestion would be to stick with the R33 GTR Brembos or Go the full mile and spend around $4000 for a 300zx Brembo GT kit (front only). cheers Zedipated:zlove:
Yeah only reason I was asking is because there's a full set selling for $1500 at the moment, would be a bargain if they could fit.
$1500 for evo brembo's is not really a bargain ive seen them for a few hundred cheaper. Also once u factor in the adaptors its cheaper to get the r33 gtr setup . Regard Trev
That's $1500 for all 4 calipers and 4 disks and good pads. Still pretty cheap but only if they where easy to adapt to a zed which they are not.
Why bother if u are using any sort of adaptors to mount the brakes its illegal, u need an engineers cert . The regulations are getting tougher all the time, save ur time and cash get the R33GTR brembo's and call it a day Regards Trev
I got my R33 GTR V-Spec Brembo's off ebay for $500 Often go for anyhthing up to $1200 just for the fronts. Keep hunting around, you'll pick some up. Importers can get them for you too, but they ain't cheap. Maybe Yahoo auctions japan and get them sent through slideways or one of those other consignment importers.
