Okay so this should have been done months ago.

I've put it off for a while because I've been trying to save some money for the rebuild and just trying to save money in general. Now though would be a good time to start, However there may be a few issues. I live in Perth hills south of the river. Maybe too far members would like to travel. I also have little to no space for the engine removal to be done or any of the necessary equipment needed for the job. If anyone would like to play host in a more central area, who's got the right equipment I would be very grateful (baring gifts of alcoholic beverages :D). I could trailer my car to your place and after all is done, trailer the car home with the motor in the rear tray.

    So.. Anyone interested? :help:

    hey mate,
when were you planning on doing? i've got some pretty flat out weekends at the moment as i'm in the midst of a TT conversion, but if i can help out will definitely make the effort.

i don't have a place to offer, if you were going to make a day of it i don't mind the travel though.
how much room do you have?
if you have a garage space of some sort, drive the car halfway in and you should be fine, just need to jack the car up on stands, be able to get under for the gearbox removal and enough height for the engine crane to lift out over the car.

how many more WA members are planning on pulling their engines? should have almost rented a warehouse, lined them all up and got in there.

well you know my crane is crying each night begging for more kills under its belt lol... I will be overtaking minivans soon.

I have allllll the gear you need for an engine pull.

If you like.... since I'm so nice... i have alot of space and the tools so I might be able to assist..

What I would suggest you do is strip your car... all the bits you can take of at home do it..

radiators, hose, plugs, bumpers, everything... there is a tech about how to do it and its all very easy...

Then put it on the trailer... bring it to mine.. we will pull the engine and box and you can tow it home if you don't have the space....

with all the little bits off already it will only take a few hours to finish the pull

Sound's like a plan, I'll get started next week pending weather. However it may be a couple of weeks before I can bring it down. I'm tied down with work, everyone has quit! :bash:
