    Hi Guys!

I'm looking for interest in who would be keen to come give me a hand putting together my Zed. Unfortunately I'm not mechanically minded, And since my recent break up with my partner, Now have no one local I trust to assit me in the big swap.

I haven't picked a date. i'm lookin to you guys to do that.

So Location will be Gympie (hour n half north of brisbane. I can put up food and drinks, however you will probably need to bring your tent as my house is quite small XD

All up there will be engine removal for 2 cars, engine back in 1 car, gearbox removal from both cars, Manual conversion in one car.

Plus I'll be parting out most of the left overs. So a good chance to get in first.

    Thanks
    Kel

Set a date and I'll let you know. I can pick up the wing while I'm there. :D

You're quite ambitious about getting that done in one weekend!

I know its a massive job for one weekend.. But if we can get the bulk of it done. Myself and a friend should be able to get the smaller things done ourselves.

I was thinking mid to late July.

Is there anything I can do before arrival to help speed the process up?

do you have an engine stand and hoist ready for the job?
Try and remover the radiators and covers ready for the pull and push.
If im around I will come and give a hand aswell ,im not to far from Gympie

Start disconnecting everything. Battery out, disconnect earth cable from bellhousing, gearbox wiring, get the wiring harness up out of the way (all coil and injector wiring), fuel lines, intake pipes, radiator out, shifter and bracket, tail shaft out (watch for oil :p), unbolt the engine mounts from underneith...

Let us know when... That's a big job for a weekend though

There better be free girly drinks!

Ok.. So do I completely strip the extra bits out the engine bay? like everything?

And yes there will be free drinks.
Thats the other thing.. who drinks what?

Is a hoist 100 % necessary? as I personally don't have one.. But I could have acsess to one.. Its just a further 40mins away

Don't need a hoist, but you will need:

    Engine crane
    Proper floor jack
    Car stands
    BBQ :p

And I think I can speak for everyone on the drinkies, mainly Cruisers, Ruski's and Smirnoff's :D

    Lol!

Yeah, need to be able to lift it pretty high. 300-400mm at least. Well enough for me or bones to get under there anyway :p So really about 200mm :p

Seriously, the higher we can get it ther better, that way we can pull the motor and gearbox at the same time. I can bring my jack and a pair of stands if needed.
