Just putting this out there as I'd like to buy my Wacom tablet a bit faster than finances currently allow. I'd be asking $350 which barely covers the costs of parts alone (calipers, rebuild parts and paint). They are a nice bright red with polished silver lettering. Pictures by request. I nicked the paint off one of them a tiny bit while reassembling but this will be fixed before purchase. I also shaved off the 'sumitomo' lettering, date stamps and casting marks so they're quite clean and 'brembo style' with the red and silver lettering. Anyway, just putting it out there. Cheers, Evan
Fate still has first dibs and these are sold pending payment, but here's some pictures anyway: this one has the chips that i'll fix up-- this is the other one-- As I said, they're not perfect and they have never been fitted. I cannot offer any kind of warranty except that I completely pulled them to bits, cleaned, lubed, resealed and reassembled. There was a bit of carbon (i suppose, or burnt brake fluid) buildup around some of the pistons causing them to jam a bit, but i gently 'massaged' all mating surfaces clean with a fine wire brush on the dremel. I would presume that the paint will hold up to temperatures experienced during braking, as I preped the surface as best I could and did many fine layers and also heat treated in the oven between coats. The whole lot also has a layer of clear over the top (the chips on the first one were done before the clear coat and for some reason I just kept on a' painting But i will fix all that up before sale. Just trying to be honest here, hence why i'm not charging 500 bucks or something silly or making grandious claims about these. Oh, did i mention your lady-pulling powers will increase 70 fold with the purchase of these calipers?
