I'm thinking about a manual conversion, but would need to sell my auto first to get the money.

It was put in about 30,000km ago and I have $4000 in receipts proving the rebuild.

Just seeing if anyone would be interested in this gearbox. It's very good, I just don't like auto.

Straight swap for manual or $2000ono

If that price is too high or too low someone please let me know.
    I don't know what it's worth.

See em on eBay for around the $350 mark (about 1 every 2 weeks shows up )......... mind you thats for an auto from a front cut import usually

the GQ Nissan 4x4 auto is the same box and they are usually giving them away !

    hope that helps

$2000 or a straight swap for a manual....... tell him he's dreaming ;)

Awwwwww :( Even though it's rebuilt with $4000 of receipts?

Looks like I won't be converting to manual after all...

lookm on the bright side of things.......

you have a mint auto ...... now fit a SAW kit and you wont ever want a manual ever again
    :D

Now if the guy that makes the SAW kits could incorperate a squential shift setup onto the actual gear lever......

    I'd have a boner and a half & he'd have a buyer
    :D

Do you have a link to these so called SAW kits? I'd like to learn more.

I still think manual would be more fun though. + it sounds better. + it looks nicer on the interior

I was so tempted to go into the G/B but the paddles put me off, now if a squential shift setup could be addapted to the SAW......

    2k is pushing it..

Im in the same situation, I am thinking about a auto -> manual conversion, I have a rebuilt Auto (from UAS) they charged 2400 (plus labour for install) for it, mines only done 2-3 thousand Km's since rebuild, I think location is a factor here as shipping them is expensive and makes it unworthwhile for most, fortunately for me there have been a heap of Auto boxes go in QLD so the 2nd hand market here is sure to be better.

If you think your going to sell the auto, use the cash to buy an manual at 0 cost to you that is unlikely, you will need to pony up some cash to make up the difference, then there is installation 15-20 hours if you have to pay
    someone.

    Possible Solutions:

Getting a half cut, taking what is neeeded parting out the rest, got a quote yesterday of 3300 for a half cut with tested engine/box with decent compression and guranteed for 6 months.

    OR

Link getting the kit excluding the box for 1250 USD, paying extra for a new clutch and maybethe drive shaft... however I might give some parts the flick if they are too big heavy and blow out the postage cost and try and source locally.

    OR

Shift at Will, cost 1300-1500 depends on exchange rate, plus install but that doesnt look incredible hard.

If your chasing 0-400m times and street straight line racing, stick with the auto. Get it worked and a hi stall and shiftkit. Like I did with my BA :D

Is there going to be another group buy for the SAW kits?
If there is then I might go for one. Otherwise, manual it is :)
