i will be placing my order as soon as the new batch is out. and that is looking like 2 weeks or 3 tops. the guys in the US are allready putting down deposits for the gears and this is a LIMITED PRODUCTION RUN. they may not be available in mid jan or at a later date .. then again they may.. im not asking anyone 2 rush in just stating that if they want some we can get a sweet deal
ok the word from STS is : If we can get a deposit of AUD $350.00 from the guys I can get the gears set aside for them until the end of February The same deal applies with the discount on 3 If there are 4 or more I can do a bit better again Paul (STS)
I'm in Same deal as the 60mm TB's though, i'll chuck the deposit through on Friday which is pay day and then the rest after Christmas.
I'm in - if you can send me off towards a page somewhere with some more technical details on these like how to install, what they do etc. (I know what they do but I want to see exactly what they replace and read up some more on them).
ok Paul has advised me 2 give out his bank details.. all those ppl that are serious about these gears. please deposit $350AU into Street 2 Strips account PLease use your FORUM nickname and also send STS a pm just 2 make sure money is recieved bank: Suncorp Name: Street to Strip BSB: 484 799 Acc Number: 500612359 as for install it needs 2 be done by a compitant Diff Specialist.. there are a few in perth best way is to remove the diff yourself and take it into the shop. otherwise you will have 2 pay for extra labour http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=2049610&forum=general&dtSearch=2 http://twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=1516884
Is there anything else required for the install of these? ie bushings etc? If so wanna do a GB for them too? Also from what I've read, a na speedo gear is required to make the speedo read correctly. gb on them, or are they cheap enough to pick up individually? Would a speedo re-calibration be needed after the install?
all you need is need a NA Manual Speedo sensor and NA speedo gear(Red one, TT is Blue). Not sure of part numbers but was just under $200 for both. according 2 JT. you can just buy the gear and change that. but most opt 2 get a new sensor aswell the speedo gear is 20 bucks if u dont want the new sensor btw
na diff is 4.08 these gears are 4.10. designed for a TT diff (stronger) and dont require a full subframe swap
word from paul: re: when are deposits neede fair question The answer is that as soon as each person has their deposit in they have secured their gears, and do not have to pay the balance until February. ..........it is a matter of the longer they leave the deposit, the less likely they will secure a set of gears. ..........what timing is that, they may ask? How long is a piece of string? The gears may be sold out by the 1st week in January, or not until March, we have no way of knowing. ..........I do know that only 50 sets are being made at this time, and the last 50 that were made went within a month of being available. ..........And, they were not pre-marketed, these are! ..........So, it is up to the guys really, but the sooner the better, and that would be in the next two weeks preferably. You can put all this in a post if you like. Paul
....Thanks.... .....to you and Claymen and WazTTed, it already has, we needed at least 3 to drop the price a bit. More orders will drop it more:biggrin: Exactly how much more discount will have to wait until the gears are ready to ship and we can see how many orders we have at that time I am waiting on a possible shipping date now.
