Wondering how many are keen on a GB on H.I.D. kits (hope i'm not stepping on anyone's toes!) :D

    Available Bulb Types: H1, H3, H4(9003/HB2), H7, H8, H9, H10, H11, H13, 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007

    Available Colour Temperature: 4300K, 6000K, 8000K, 10000K,12000K

    The package includes:
    ?2 x 35W HID bulbs
    ?2 x 12V 35W Regular Ballasts
    ?2 x Mounting brackets
?2 x Power cables (attached to bulbs)
    ?All necessary wires and accessories
    ?Installation Manual (English)

As we all (should) know - H1 are for zed high beams, H3 (direct fit for HID) is low beam, so you can grab two sets if you like :)

Now, to complicate things: slim ballasts are also available at a slightly higher cost (~$5) and so are 55W kits.

So if you are interested, for this EOI, please add whether you want 35W/55W and normal/slim ballast. I'm not sure but I think we may get a better price if the kits stay the same :) so if there is more interest for 55W and it works out cheaper to have ALL the kits 55Ws, then too bad for whoever wanted 35W but i'm sure you can live with that [TIS]

How much? well at the moment i will guarantee it will cost under $100 to your door (i'm aiming for a cheaper-than-ebay price ;)). a final price will come along when i am more certain of number of kits to order, etc. and will be posted in a proper GB thread :D

    Any questions?

    Cheers

Just curious what brand and where you are getting them? Beacuse I have done fair bit of research when one of my HID globe blown. And the market is flooded with china and hongkong made shit which is also 35w kit. There are few H3C kit in ebay for 60USD also. The reason I asked when one of my BELLOF HID globe was damaged I contacted BELLOF in japan for a pair of globe. The HID KIt itself was quoted $900 including postage. And replacement globe was $600 pair posted.

    http://www.bellof.co.jp/products/spec-evolution-neo.html

Ended up buying china made globe from forum member ebuyproduct_HID. and tested side by side with BELLOF globe. Both were 35 watts and difference is huge. china made 35w globe produced half of the brightness compare to BELLOF. I am interested with the GB but need to know brand, spec and country of origin before proceed with purchase.

That is correct ladies and gents i am shooting for a cheaper than ebay price. Not much point to it otherwise, is there? [TIS]
Those who already have bought kits for under $60, could you please PM me your seller's details so i can get some more quotes :)

4300K is OEM white, boys and girls. 8000K is blind-yo-ass blue and 12000K is some sort of fairy purple/pink i've never seen before. That should also give you a good indication of colours :p

To help decide wattage, consider that your normal halogen is 55W with about 1200 lumens of light output. The high efficiency HIDs, at 35W, have an output of ~3000 lumens at 4300-6000K and decreases with higher colour temps.

Origin: China. Brand: unknown. If you're willing to pay $4/600 on a h.i.d. kit, this GB means little to you. This GB is more for broke mofos like myself and rod :p

Get yourself a set, then if you're not happy with the bulbs or it eventually blows, go get a pair of reputable branded globes :p

I've heard enough positive feedback on the dirt cheap china HID gear, otherwise i would not have considered this GB. Enlighten me, but AFAIK ballasts are all the same and light output will largely depend on globe quality. Also you cant compare Bellof HIDs on a newer/different car with HIDs in a 20yo not-optimised-for-HIDs zed :)

Fair enough. I have already a set made in china. Of course there will be huge difference compared to stock halogen globe. Wanted to confirm if you are getting the globes from japan. :D

Did check few AUDI and BMW headlights 6000K and always wondered why my globes aren't as bright as them. :(

  16. psycodelik

    psycodelik psyco led's

Main reason they wouldnt be as bright as i assume BMW and Audi would be using 50W top quality HID's, not 35w Chinese knockoffs

Headlamp optics play a huge factor. A 55W kit in a zed may be roughly comparable to the 35Ws in other cars, with their focused headlamp housings, clear clean lenses, etc.

    So who else wants one?

I have dimensions on ballasts!! the normal ballasts are roughly 88x75x30mm, and the slimlines are about 15mm thick instead of 30.

    EDIT: PIC OF BALLAST!!

Still a little while yet before I get a confirmed price per unit, but atm we're looking at about $50 and hoping to better that.
