Hi zeders look i decided to put my new clutch line in this afternoon, and could not undo the nut thats at the end of the hard pipe, that runs into old black flexible hose which i need to replace with my new s/s hose from the GB, which then runs into the slave cylinder. i have tried every thing and now the nut is looking worse for wear, that i had to try multi grips and heat still did not move so now a easy job is testing me any suggestions. cheers FISH:zlove:

Try getting a heat gun in there, and heating the sucker right up, then tapping at it with a chisel, and repeat this for a while. also a heap of WD40 might be the go.

Ive tried heating it up to the point she smoking thing up, the only prob i have is that the pipping is copying a pounding and iam waiting for it to twist of when i apply pressure

I had the same problem putting my clutch line in.

I presume you mean the end furthest from the gear box, you can't undo the flare nut.

    1) you don't want to undo the bracket before you shift the flare nut. Otherwise, the hard line will, as you fear, twist off.

    2) the flare nut is really soft metal and crappy. God I dunno why they used such a small diametre.

Saturate it in wd40, leave it, saturate again. I rounded my one off too, trying various spanners. I even angle grinded a section out of a ring spanner to get more grip around it (rather than just two sides, as on a normal open ended spanner) but no go.

Got the vice grips with a bolt in the handle so it can be screwed down to clamp on, then cracked it loose.

    Wasn't easy.

    Nothing on these cars is.
