*sorry mods if this should be in group buys*

    Hello all,

This is an EOI on carbon fiber front fenders, the price is an estimated 600USD for a pair, possibly down to 550 if there is enough interest. they will be coming from the man that brought you this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/90-96-NISSAN-300ZX-2-2-CARBON-FIBER-HATCH-BRAND-NEW_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5ad78c9a26QQitemZ390163372582QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

20 people needed for this to get started, will also be posting up on the other 300zx forums if people are keen.

    cheers
    Sam

I reckon you'd be screwing with the cars weight ratio if u go carbon...

Been covered before...with the hatch 100%, needs more mods to shift weight disti back and down. For the fenders, they won't weigh much less. They way F8k all as they are.

It has all been discussed before: http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=292769

    and then again here: http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=296923

conclusion from thread #1: throws out weight balance and overpriced. circa $2000 change over to save 21kg, that's like $100 per kilo saved. waste of $.

conclusion from thread #2: retro is full of shit. oh and hatch is not worth doing.

..yeh thought that much... would be pretty awesome if you did CF bonnet, roof and hatch... would look good, save lots of weight (provided you replace glass with perspex or something.)
Granted its wank factor 7.7, but some wank, is good wank...

Think of all the internet points!

Whatever you do, don't paint your C/F parts. Being exposed to UV light makes them stronger, and you'll be crowned king of all the hardparkers.
