i changed my fuel line to braided ones, changed vacum line, changed fuel filter, installed a front strut brace and now my engine just cranks over and over but engine wont start.......... :(

crossed check all lines are connected to rightful places, ensured fuel 'IS' flowing through, checked all spark plugs but yet engine still wont start

    HELP please!

Did you disconnect the earth strap on the plennum by chance?

Can cause the PTU to die, happened to me.

Other than that are you 100% sure that the fuel lines are the right way around?

Check you CAS, check you PTU and your ignition coil relay.

right at the back of your plenum. there is a strap coming of the fuel raisl which should be earthed on the lower plenum. also make sure the 3 earths are also connected on the top plenum at the back.

    I take it

the engine was running before you changed things, so go over everything you changed again, slowly.

Smart arse comments don't help idiot.

After I put all new fuel lines in and tried starting it it wouldnt go either. Swapped the CAS and reset the timing and she was sweet.

The spark issue is an interesting one. keep us posted.

oh ok sorry, atleast i know how to spell ferrari

i'd suggest checking the connections on the ptu and cas as they can easily be knocked and the slighest bit of movement can ruin the connection. a clean never goes astray

What's spelling got to do with it? :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:
It was about your comment. Pretty childish response IMO

On topic: check that you have spark first and fuel pressure. if they arent the prob then get your hands on a CAS timing gun and a spanner. loosen off the 3 bolts off the CAS, swap them over, hook the 2 power cable from the timing gun to the battery and the special clamp around #1 cyl coil pack cable. adjust the cas to around centre or adjust left or right till it atleast starts. point the gun at your under drive pulley and pull the trigger. you see a mark from the pulley flash somewhere alone the timing reading panel thingy. It should be set to 15 degrees by turning the CAS left or right. CAUTION: Fan!

That is of course if thats the problem. While you're borrowing a CAS, get a PTU as well and swap that to see if it has an affect.

Rule of thumb, If its not spark then its fuel. If its not fuel then its timing. If its not timing then its ecu. If its not that then stand back, scratch your head for 30 sec then kick the car and mutter "Piece of shit!"

it may take a few cranks to get the car started after changing fuel lines. the pump needs to get the fuel into the lines before the car will start.
