just installed the ssq bov from the groupbuy along with replacing the air filters for it.

anyway i put everything back on and car idles like shit. i'm 80% sure engine is running like crap because ecen after adjusting the idle back to what it was it was still the same.

rpm on idle goes up from 600 rpm to 1500rpm like a yoyo then it settles to about 1100rpm unstable/erratic.

funny thing is car was perfect before installing the bov's and the only thing i had taken off during installation was MAS which was connected back on properly.

ECU was reset and datascan was giving code55. tps readjusted but still engine was erratic. when checking on the datascan the L and right o2 sensors were stable on 30-35. i remember on the tech day the normal output was unstable low and high. my o2 sensors are ngk and have only been installed new 8,000kms ago.

i've gone through the tech doco's and tomorrow i will be replacing the pcv hoses, pcv springs (which may help with my stalling at hard braking too), and cleaning the MAS sensor with some contact cleaners. i will be checking the MAS voltage aswell on idle to check whether it's gone or not.

i've gone through a few hours of troubleshooting and nothing seemed to help. i hope my MAS is not fcked. as i said everything was working perfectly before i had installed these BOVS (car already had a pair of ssqv hks BOVS but the left one is buggerred).

FELLOW ZEDDERS, I'M GOING TO DO A SPIRIT BOMB, SHARE YOUR ENERGY WTH ME!!!! ..... i mean, please lend me some assistance with this bmp i've come across!

    thanks

mine did the same the GB BOVS are shite, they dont seal at idle

ive pulled mine all apart, the plastic valve isnt round and wont seat on the rubber seat without alot of force, if you give it enough force to stop opening at idle,, then they dont fire at all

i put my recircs back on

just an update. all is ok. also found out why i've been stalling. just reinforces what scottZ stated on my previous threads. old original hks bovs actually were leaking enough to cause stalling and did several tests with the new copy hks which were a lot worse.

anyway so far i've just plugged the pipes and all is good, no stalling when coming from any speed to a stand still.

i'll persist with the copies and get some super strong springs and see how they go.
