ok so for the last few months i have been rebuilding a motor and its almost complete. have done all this on apprentice wages and done it right, new pistons, block acid dipped and blue printed, heads had a port nd polish and portmatched to the intake, arp studs, etc list goes on and on.

other things i have are new z1 side mounts, 56mm rad, 650cc injectors, nistune.

after all this i have hurt myself and are unable to work for a while befor i could afford turbos etc, so my lovely wife to be has purchased me these

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NISSAN-3..._Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c70ebdc10&_uhb=1

question is, is it safe to run these and some ebay manifolds and get it tuned untill i can work/afford to replace with something better
also im no guru on turbos as this is my first build turbo what hp could i expect to get from them and what i have

i suggest you now take them to get rebuilt and balanced or they won't last very long :)

3 year warranty only covers the turbos. You blow your engine apart and they wont cover that so...be careful.

And how will cheap turbos lead to engine failure?

I mean physically shattering and blowing in through the intake., or blowing its sides out and cutting up your hoses or wiring. Not overpowering the engine lol

Not often, but it is a risk worth considering when buying ebay turbos.

EDIT: Im not saying it will happen, or is even likely to happen. All im saying is there is a small but existant risk that with cheaper turbos that arent always as well balanced or constructed as a big brand turbo there is a risk of destructive failure, and that risk should be taken into consideration. These dont look too bad, but thats no reason not to consider the "what if" factor.

Has to get through your intercooler first. Seizure of the turbos are much more likely.

I'm not a big fan of eBay turbo's, changing them on a zed is so much of a pita its worth finding the $$ to do it right the first time. If you bide your time something suitable will pop up on the forun.

Turbos are not a high tech item, yes the cheaper ones may not last as long but as long as you dont boost too high, say above 15psi they will be good, More importantly get a boost control system that will do the job, electronic rather one of the cheaper manual ones.

The old style T25 turbo's come very cheap nowadays you could probably even get a used original Garrett set and reconditioned for less. Many of these cheap turbo's are in fact exact copies of the Garrett and often of same quality, it's just old school stuff and not worth much anymore.
You can get a new Garrett CHRA for T25-T28 turbo's for 200-300 usd and good used turbine and compressor housings are easily sourced. The add says the turbo's are ball bearing but that may not be true.

more of the risk of not lasting long .
    bearings, cheap chinese wheels

    on a Z its lots of labour,engine out .

one part where you should get quality.

    LOL at 600hp turbos
