OK I think I have figured out my confusion on this subject. There is only 1 oil pressure sender on the engine, the LHD is on the filter tree and the RHD one is on the passenger side (opposite to filter tree). When a turbo upgrade is done on a RHD there is some issue with the oil feed line on the passenger side that requires the sender to be relocated to the filter tree, is this correct ? What is the issue, why cant the new turbos use the same feed as OM turbos ?
They can, and that is how I set them up. Yours is done this way. The turbo kits come with 2 feed hoses to suit a LHD application. When fitted to a RHD car, the passenger side hose is too long. I have this hose remade to fit correctly on our cars.
Yep, OPS in the OEM spot. Just how it should be. This is how the HKS kit does it too from memory, if you still have your HKS kit instuctions, could you have a look through them and see if it does leave the sensor in the OEM RHD position? Just for interests sake.
Thanks mate good to know, that's how I would of done it, have the line made, sounds pedantic, but to me that's one of the differences between building something nice and building a bitsa. Hmmm forgot I had those , as you would expect the instructions are all in Japanese, no pictorial detail on moving the sensor, part list and exploded diagram shows a banjo fitting to the turbo, then a line (MtoF), a restrictor (MtoM) and a 90 degree fitting (MtoF), not sure why the 90 degree fitting as OEM is straight into the block the sender is screwed into I think, any way i will bring booklet over next time i visit.
