Hey Guys, A little while ago i posted i was having some trouble with my engine missing. Well i cleaned my throttle bodies, cleaned my pod filter and cleaned all electronic conectors including PTU ones which were quite coroded, after spending all afternoon doing this, i finaly took the zed for a drive, only to find that the problem has gotten worse. When i accelerate to around about 6000rpm, engine misses, backfires and blows a whole heap of black (not blue...) smoke out of the exausts, and engine still misses when cruising in fourth gear. On the bright side though engine seems to idle nicely now , which it didn't do before. Problem is the zed has never previously backfired, blowing smoke before. I don't know what to do... is it PTU or could it be spark plugs (i have NGK irridiums which have only done about 5000km, i have read, some guys have had problems with these). Any info would be great.... Cheers :`(
swap out the spark plugs with some stockers very simple and easy (quite cheap too) and Im guessing it will fix your problem. Only one way to find out
