    Hey guys

Does the steel plate/sheild about 1mm thick that sits between the box and engine - MUST it be there or not necessary???

Only reason being I just put the box up and in place all lined up and realised I forgot the plate - which means box off along with clutch and flywheel...

Would the input shaft be hitting the end of the crank? I had no problems doing up any of the bolts all went in fine.

    Thanks Matt.

I dont think it will be a necessity but should you ever need to remove the box again, i would be putting it back on.

Only major players that would need adjustment would be the slave cylinder and clutch pedal/throw adjustments.

1mm isnt going to do much.

We dont use one on the rally car (as the workers before hand didnt put it back on) but i just made a dust shield to stop the dirt and stones entering at the base.

    You'll be fine.

Yeh definitely. Also thought of cutting the plate in half and sliding up from the left and right.
    Anyone else not have one?

Exactly! and the auto plates should be a dime a dozen as it's normally the auto TTs that get written off easily (over here at least).

    Cut It

I would just cut it in half, before you do just slip back the box just past the locator pins, measure down from them to the bottom section should be about 10mm and use that as a reference for your cut lines, then it will be almost the same as the two piece Auto one.
