    Hey guys,

I have this problem when I'm driving along then hold in the clutch and take my foot off the accelerator the revs drop and they drop right down to 0 then the engine almost cuts out or cuts out completely (not fun when this happens)
If it doesn't cut out, it'll go back up and will be ok until I do the same thing again

When the car is idling its fine, no problems at all.

What would be the problem? how can I narrow this down? Is it related to a boost leak or something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've been trying to figure this out for the past week, with no luck as yet. thanks.

    *Update* Something I've found:
If I take the the hose off the balanced tube that runs to the top nipple of the AIV solenoid, it seems to fix the problem i'm having.
If I do an AIV delete, what should I try plugging into the balance tube? Can I plug it directly into the the vacuum gallery hardline which connects to the air duct tube from the intake manifold?

Have you got after market blow off valves on your car ?
sometimes if they are not adjusted properly it can cause the car to stall .
But I'd recommend getting a boost leak tester to see if you have boost leaks , they can cause your car to run poorly .

Its a handy diagnostic tool to help you rule a few things out .
not sure about the aivs causing the car to stall but

I did the a.i.v delete yesterday. It's fairly easy. That said when i finished i had the e.g.r solenoid tubbing arse up.Car ran like a dog.Had me worried i had stuffed something up.I finally worked it out this morning now she runs great. It would be easier if you could get someone who has done it before to help you.I'm near geelong if your in the area p.m and i will give you a hand.
