Im just about to change jobs and in for a pay rise... When this all happens i would like to rebuild the old Z... Who are the best engine builders... I wont be doing it my self, accept the removal and install as Im too Lazy.. Doesnt matter where they are as I will have to post anyway.. theres no way a local is going to do it.. Any suggestions / recomendations.. Yes I did search..
If you were QLD id say PLR engine reconditioning in Brisbane. They have built at least 25 engines for me without 1 single comeback. I still service engines that they built 8 and 9 years ago. On the performance side they built a top fuel engine that ran a 4.9et at 290mph. They also built a RB20 that possibly holds the southern hemispere record for highest output RB20. 680rwhp.

Another option I am willing to sell my race motor cheap as want to build a monster. Otherwise we can build you one. Don't cut corners. We have built more than probably all workshops in Australia put together. Raced one for years and we know how to make them tough and perform. Also always compare apples with applies as most are not as thorough as us and or replace as much as we do with new or aftermarket parts. Zeds often end up here on tow trucks from other workshops. Spiro knows what he is doing and I am not referring to him. We don't need the work and building engines is not efficient or profitable job for us. I am sick of people getting jammed or disappointed. Depends on what one thinks Cheap or not cheap. Some think a big motor is worth a few grand. For what it is and will let it go for $...... Curiousity is a powerful emotion. POA PS Thanks Fleet. OK I would let it go for about half price of building one. She has made 438rwkw. To do this though you need fuel system, intercooler, radiator, zorst, computer.
Engine rebuild Adelaide Z Cars My ZX was very hot and bothered - it blew up in the NT. They shipped the car down on Toll using the backfill, picked it up from Toll and sorted the whole car out once and for all. Since Nick and Barry have had the car it has not missed a beat. They kept all the parts they changed, kept me up to date with the progress and the car is nice and strong now. I had to go back to NT and they threw in an oil filter and Penzoil to do an oil change, threw in a jack as the car did not have one and did many small repairs and fixes while it was with them. My car does not go anywhere else now!
