those nipples are on the hardpipes not the intake hoses.
yes they're easier to get off and, they dont leak like the oem ones i had.

i had silicone hose there before, the non-moulded type and felt a distinct lack of brake response, so i swapped back to oem and then to these.

Curious - Can you confirm that your TT is auto and not a 5 speed manual?
Reason I ask as I see you missing a couple of silicone hoses that's different from my RHD TT 5 sp.

My silicone brake booster vaccum hose set.

His is normal for an auto, so it must be. I dont know what the deal is with the black hose joining onto the red silicon with what appears to be a T piece with one end capped off. Unless that's where you're T piecing off to your waste gate actuators in which case I would advise moving it to a more central location to try and balance the length of hose to each actuator. On another note, the turbo tech is great isnt it? :)

uhmm..... the lack of a clutch master cylinder would be a bit of a giveaway :p

    Never mind.
Just found that the extra fitting on the end of the balance tube is for the clutch booster.

That being the case, can anyone confirm that all RHD balance tubes for all 5 speed manuals are the same and have that extra fitting for the clutch booster irregardless whether it's an NA or TT?
I suspect so, but just wanted to confirm.

wasn't there a thread on this already. i didnt think it changed the pressure per side by having a different length of hose, or the affect would be so marginal you wouldn't notice the difference. may be wrong though.

not correct. the small vaccum lines. in the TT version on one side theres two, on the opposite one.

On the NA theres one on each side. The extra vacc spot on the TT balance tube is for the wastegates or recircs or something related. I have my BOVs running off the third nipple and T-pieced off.

oh and regarding the 90 degree bit on the end, the NA definately doesnt have it. Im not sure if its for the clutch booster or brake booster, but it wasnt tehre on my NA 5spd engine. When I did the tt swap i was confused by this extra bit and didnt know what to connect it to, so in the end used my tt engine with the NA balance tube. Both were 5speed.

There are 3 differnet balance pipes

    NA manual/auto, 2x4mm nipples.driverside
TT manual, 2x4mm nipples, 1x6mm nipple, 1x10mm nipple, driverside
TT auto, 2x4mm nipples, 1x6mm nipple, driverside

Very strange indeed. I would have thought all RHD 5 speed manuals would have the 10mm nipple (which is used for the clutch booster and IIRC boost solenoid as well).
Wouldn't mind seeing a the hose configuration pics of a RHD NA 5 speed manual.

NA manual doesnt have a clutch booster and obviously no boost solenoids(which is not on the 10mm nipple anyway) so it doesn't seem to strange really.

Understandable about the boost solenoid as I thought it was just a matter of conveniance for Nissan but not having a clutch booster for the NA 5sp is what I find strange.
So, out of all the variations of balance tubes be it RHD or LHD, the RHD TT 5sp is the only one with a different config using the extra 10mm nipple.
