My Auto Transmission is fried, my turbos are leaking oil, I have low
compression on 2 cylinders, noisy big end bearings and leaking oil into
    the cam gears.

I need a complete Engine and Transmission transplant. I need to get
my Zed back on the road, but I don't have a lot to spend at the moment.

    What is my cheapest option?
Anyone specific in Melbourne who can help me out with a cheap transplant?

    Zshop quoted:
    $2500 for the transmission
    $7500 for the engine

Would be nice to have everything fully reconditioned with a warranty, but it's a lot more than I'm looking to spend at the moment.

    Haha, serious? $2,500 + $7,500 = $10,000

You could get a pretty damn good zed these days for $10k ;)

1500 is a good price if it has been rebuilt and still has warranty mate

yeah had it rebuilt not too long ago so its perfect and the place i did it at is just a transmission place...so im not going to ask for much anyway...$1300 is wat i stated in my for sale thread so ill keep it at that:D...but yeah when i first joined the forums i paid $3200 and according to simon at nissport it was MEANT to be a new tranny, to my dismay it was just a 2nd hand one put it and not even rebuilt...bastards...but yeah got this rebuilt and was sooooo smooth it was great:D...i miss the zed:(
