Hey Guys, Slight issue with my Zed, I have the "lights" "HICAS" "Washer Bottle" warning lights all up, and the batt light is on but faintly.... Power steering is full, and so is washer bottle, and all brake lights work... EcuTalk is showing 14V running and 12.3V off, and the battery is still showing Green in the sight glass. It seems to be effecting AAC also, its stuck on about 90, and trying to idle at 500RPM, it still drives fine, just wont idle. Ive had a dig around all my Earths in the engine bay, all seem fine... Anyone got any ideas? Next will be to check fuses, thinking maybe a fuse has gone, but still contacting.. The other thing i thought, is it possible my turbo could have melted a wire and its shorting out on that? Cheers
If you manage to find out where it was shorting, give us a yell. I've got this problem and keeps shorting the fuse when HICAS activates...
Hello guys, How u doing? Hope anyone can help me. I have a battery, brake, light come up when i step the brake stop at light or stop sign. When start drive those 3 went off.. very weird... anyone have ideas what going on?? Also thank for help i appricate that. Cheers
Hey Guys, fixing the fuse turned out to be a temporary fix... i cant exactly pin point when it happens... but iv replaced 4 fuses in the last few days (each trip, to and then home from work) Just had it on ramps... hoping the short was the starter solenoid plug melted to my dump (pipe) i could see evidence of the short on the spade terminal, it had melted right thru... If this isnt the problem, ill be tracing all the loom associated with that engine cont. circuit.. Alterantor plugs, first stop As well, ZX1990 did some research on TTnet, and another cause could be to do with either the O2s, or the loom to them, as apparently that is the same circuit...
Check all (3) your Brake lights are working... and fuses, that was the first suggestion i was given, accept i had HICAS lights on too
2nded on alternator check the wiring plugs/connections on the back of the alternator which can get loose causing similar probs. A prick to get to but good preventative maintenance in any case. Also check for any power steering fluid dripping into alternator... another cause of very weird faults...
ill give that a go, it seems to be on lefthanders, but not at hicas speeds... Also, now when it comes on, foot on the gas is fine, off throttle a buzzing comes from the foot-well fuse box... but slowly all lights dimm and turn off along with the buzzing... but then starts again with a blip...
ive got similar probleme, my revs go to 500 when put my foot on the brake, and sometimes it just stall when im reversing, is so weird, also the hicas light comes on often when long terms driving. i was thinking about batery for the revs probleme but im not sure.
