I have been in contact with a company in US that can get us the EL tape and the inverters for $90 each. That is delivered to me, then we need to add domestic shipping to that, don't think it would be too much. This is the best price I can get the for this item, but we need to act before the Aussie dollar drops, so if anyone is interested let me know. More information. The tape is 3" wide x 12" long. The inverters are the new generation, 1 inch cube. Colors available.... Will keep you all posted.

Congratulations on getting the price -I'm still waiting to hear back from about 4 emails so well done on getting anywhere Mor info though, you need to know 1)exact size in mm 2)How do the inverters connect to the tape? Does the tape have rivets installed? 3)Are the ends of the tape sealed?

Thanks for the feedback Rob. I too sent out numerous emails and this company were the only one who sent back a reply. I have been in contact with them now for almost a week working out the details. I have sent the questions you have asked to them for answers, but I requested 3" (75mm) x 11" (275mm). These were the measurements off the one of the tech pages.
Answer to your questions... Size is 3.5 inches. (82mm) You have a quarter-inch of non-lit space on each side for durability. Two wires from the inverter attach to the left/right sides of the Light Tape. The quik-connect connectors should make this easy and keep the connection sealed against moisture. The ends of the tape are sealed. If you cut off one inch, you just reseal the edge using packaging tape or another waterproof tape. Hope this helps
