EGR VALVE

    Hi zeders has any one removed there EGR valve, and can you tell me do you have to alter the ECU to make the conversion work. Can it be done with engine still in or am i asking for trouble.I would like to hear from any one who has done this and give there advise and how there car has been running since there coversion .Cheers FISH

    You have to

    remove the plenum, even then its not easy to remove the egr. Look in the tec section, there's a very good article with pics, just waiting for you!

    Removed mine 12 months ago, car runs just fine since. With the plenum off it wasn't too difficult. Just had to buy a half length spanner to get the bolts off the egr valve pipes. A few Beers and lots of swearing helps.

    Removed mine, although I did it with the motor on a stand, but if your doing it
    with the plenum off, also include a bypass, 100k service, etc. :cool:
