Good morning guys, hope you are all well

Whilst changing over this little pest of a fuel hose located under the throttle cable:

I accidentally dropped an EFI clamp down into the abyss:

For those that have pulled a plenum or two and have had the engine out is this clamp in danger of doing much damage? I have tried to retrieve it with a magnet tool however I simply can't see it! Torch is no good, however one of those black snake cameras would be handy!!

Does anyone have any other suggestions as to how to retrieve the little bugger?

Thanks guys and have a good day!

So long as it's in the centre valley there under the cables not over near the spark plugs there's not much going in there, if you're lucky in time it will bounce out the back eventually but you'll probably have to remember to keep an eye out for it when you do remove the plenum so it doesn't fall into the head.

Yeah, wouldn't concern yourself over it. In my time I left a few of them down there, as well as a spanner, and half my toolbox...no matter what you drop, or where you drop it...it's never coming back.

    Thanks guys.

I was reluctant to drive it just in case!

At lease there is no fuel leak anymore!!

    Well done!

Replacing that hose is not an easy job, especially without removing the plenum. ;) Kudos for getting it done......

The clamp will make removing the engine more fun later - you will find more clamps / bolts / nuts in the centre of the block and hopefully some spanners etc. from the previous owner

The 300ZX is the "black hole of all engine bays" :D
