NewKleer , when do you think the temp/alarm might be incorperated into the firmware??

id guess by end of july, but it could possibly be done by time displays are ready in couple weeks (the few already assembled and loaded with 2.01 firmware would have to update it themselves)

planning to do some work on it this weekend, will probably know by end of weekend where it stands (ive got a good idea of how it needs to all work, which is the hardest bit normally).

u should only join the group buy based on whats in the displays as they are currently, i cant gurantee any future features or timeframes on firmware updates, and wont be holding displays from sending, waiting for a firmware update (it takes 5 minutes to do with a laptop, shouldnt be worried about that)

 

No probs, the temp buzzer is prob the best part of this unit for zed owner
the rest of what ur unit can do is a bonus

Make mine the last unit out and if it dosent have the upgraded firmware/buzzer done no biggie, ive got a lappy,

as for ppl wanting to mount in the din socket , buy a blank from TTZ and fab up some brackets, i recommend putting it in the high slot and moving the wireless (CDplayer)into the lower position.

Not so good if you have a flip up DVD, then you cant see the display...doh!!

future firmware down the track might also allow u to set temp at which thermo fan is turned on via consult active test (where u can force fans to low or high...never tried this myself, not sure if it works for all cars, etc), not sure if that would be worthwhile to anyone

Mounting in the bottom DIN slot works best for me Trev.

The top slot is obscured by the wiper controls, whereas the bottom slot is in clear view.

Maybe it depends on how tall the driver is
