just took the Z for a run after installing the EBC and it goes like a scalded cat now !!!, difference is huge and that is without setting up the ebc properly, i can hear the turbos spooling now inside the car, that didn't happen before and i seem to be getting sustained power right through to about 7000rpm, will adjust it and take it for another run, i reckon the car may have been on safety boost since i got it

Nice one BHP Mad Zed is on the prowl and whistling away behind that alluring matt black stealth paint job.

Get it dynoed and setup properly

yeah Jason, i have an aftermarket jap ecu and am waiting on my smic's to turn up, when they do i will go to Perth and get it done, will be very interesting to see how much more than 188.9 rwkw it will get, just judging from the difference in power i reckon it might crack 250

are they the Mofo ones you got? depending on the ECU and what exhaust you have I would say around 240 - 250 ish is achievable

Its a lot of bang for the bucks hey. Amazing at what a bit of boost can do and who said it doesnt build real power anways:D

yeah the mofo smic's, the ecu is from bonezx's old car in qld and the exhaust is SS dumps and test pipes 2 1/2", no cats, 12" hotdogs and another set of 18" hotdogs at the back, basically a straight through dual exhaust  :D

ok, have the ebc set, i have the target boost set at 90 which is equivalent to 9lbs, but when i took it for a couple of runs this arvo, the peak boost is reading 176 which is 17.6lbs, warning light comes on at 10lbs but the boost doesn't want to stop obviously, mind you the power is awsome but i don't think it's much good for the turbos, anyone have a greddy profec b ?? that has some settings for stock turbos?
    cheers

    Here

    I don't think set=90 is 9psi, but rather 90%.

Follow the article to set up your EBC. 'Tis pretty straight forward

    i use
    Set: 66%
    Gain: 20%
    Set Gain: 30
    Warning: 165
    Limit: 20%

    thats for 15 psi

you might have to tweak it a bit

straight forward my ass, i can't understand it lmao, it must have been translated from japanese by an american because they get everything ass about face as well, and i couldn't really make heads nor tails from the tech article (written by an american) either. That is the tech article on this forum i am referring to, the link you posted zductive looks much more promising

    thanks topher
