had my car (n/a converted to tt, manual) on the dyno the other night at the re customs dyno night, wasnt as impressive as chris's (well done mate!) very happy with my results 194.6 rwkw on 9psi. i was expecting 180rwkw at max. Mods are; lightened flywheel HD exedy clutch lightened UD pulley lightened over drive water pump pulley lightened power steering pulley rebuilt standard turbos 2.5 inch turbo back exhaust with split dumps and high flow 100 cpi cats ported and honed exhaust manifolds front mount nismo rs 585 LSD stillen short shifter cheers Andrew
hey badxtc in relation to - PLENUM PULLS FROM $550 INCLUDING WATER BYPASS. PM ME FOR DETAILS. whats the water bypass? i should have PM'd whoops
thanks mate, nah no vids my fone shat itself so i had an old fone so could film anything. but yeh i had a blitz ebc but i sold it to a mate who needed a tune before a drift day at winton so thats the reason why i'm only running 9 pound
pissed off i had to leave andrew and missed both yours and chris's. and damn kirill even came wanted to chuck mine on again, but 5 cylinders = nahhhhh. well done mate! see you soon!
Ah yeah, i'd expect higher numbers though with the stuff he had. I got 182 rwkw on 9psi on my car and all I had was a pod and catback. He got only 12rwkw more with clutch, underdriven everything, front mount, full exhaust with hi flow cats, ported exhaust manifolds, lightened flywheel, rebuilt turbos ? I wouldn't be too happy (no offence).
underdriven - doesnt do that much as discussed in another thread rebuilt turbos - still the same as standard ported manifolds - not gonna do much if anything on standard tubos @ 9psi full exhaust and hi flow cats - should make a difference especially removing the restriction in the front section probably the 12 rwkw difference front mount - @9psi is it really gonna make a notacible gain The engine was just a nice fresh STOCK engine. it was built to be reliable not really performance. I have a current TT motor with 250rwkw at 16psi with all his mods and it goes into slow mode at 9psi. i dont trust this motor anywere near as much as the one i sold to him. pump in 16-17psi with a solid tune and that motor would have been fantastic.
Wasn't having a dig at you mate, just saying I'd be looking at a bigger dyno gain. I guess I had a really healthy engine! (RIP)
