Thanks very much to those who sponsored me for the 2005 Leukaemia foundation shave for a cure. At this stage, it looks like we've managed to raise around $1600 towards Leukaemia research. That's pretty good - almost $40 per centimetre removed!

Talking to onlookers, organising staff and others on the day about their experiences with Leukaemia, whether they be first hand, family or friends, it really brought home how much of a devastating impact this disease can have, but how it is possible to beat it.

Photos of the shave event (courtesy of Audiobuzz) can be seen at Baldy pics here

Thanks again to everyone who sponsored. If you didn't get around to sponsoring me or Chewy, sponsorships can still be lodged online - see the sticky post for directions.

    Betchya didn't chop off 400mm though :p

Mind you, I don't think mine will grow back that long again.

Gotta keep a bit of hair, as I don't want a severe headburn after 4 days at the Clipsal 500!

    Top effort Dave.......>>

So now that you have shed the long locks are you going to grow it back or get a "style cut" once it starts to get a bit longer. Have fun at the Clipsal, and remember to Slip, Slop, Slap.

    Nice work Dave!

Between sponsoring you, Chewy, and a couple of the guys at work, Ive managed to avoid any comments of "So Lou, when are you shaving the mane...?"

Well done, and what a fantastic cause! :D
