Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of Driftworx suspension components and/or BC Racing coilovers (BC Racing is not the same as Buddy Club)?

My friend uses BC racing on his heavily modified MX5...he has only good things to say about it...but ive heard a lot of good things about Tein coilovers for the zed...as for suspension parts Powertrix is the best i would say but definitely not cheap...

you'll get different feed back regarding BC coilovers .

I guess any coilover feels good until you have something to compare it with

here is a guy I know (john) with a GTR posted recently:

Took the car to UAS last week to prep it for last Saturdays EC SSCC event...

I had the BC ER Coilovers removed and reinstalled the original Tein SuperStreets. They installed some adjustable upper arms and I asked them to return the car to a street spec wheel alignment, 1.5 degrees camber, 1mm toe out front and 1mm toe in rear. Back to square 1...

I ran a 1:51.11s on 8 year old Semi Slicks (rock hard!) on 255/40/17 tyres... that is compared to 1:54s on the BC ER Coilovers with 3.5 degrees camber on the front on a fresh set of Toyo R888s on 265/35/18 tyres ?!?

Over 3 seconds faster on a street setup with worse tyres? What the??

    BC is cheap Chinese stuff.

Buddy Club is legit gear but there really isn't anything widely available off the shelf for Z32s.

Tein you'll find is the most readily available option for our cars. Quite good quality wise.

Try getting tein suspension parts as you get what you pay for...there is also a thread in thw FSBB section of the forum where suspension parts are for sale and it comes with warranty so in case something does go wrong you can be on the safe side...have a look through the thread and ask the seller if you have any questions...good luck.

BC are made in China, yes, but they are made for the U.S market using specified componentry from U.S clients, why all the hate if no-one here can actually say they run/ran them and can really validate if they are sh!t or not?

Even Powertrix are made in Taiwan(again using specified componentry) but people don't hesitate to put them on their rides. Taiwan, China - not much difference?

I just picked up a set for $750 new at Z-Centre of the BR series (not the crappy black and red previous series).

Ive heard nothing but good things about them, a mate of mine who just recently wrote an article about suspension for fast 4's (or some car magazine) recommended them to me :)

Im coming from KYB shocks and Kings springs so I'll let you know how they go.

Now thats a good idea. Everyone knows the KYB to be a good budget handler, so a comparo from them to the BC units will be greatly anticipated, and may just quieten this little debate first hand.

Everyone knows that you get what you pay for and it will be good to know if those BC's can do the job in the budget category. Obviously feedback re handling is on everyone's thoughts but longevity is a big factor too. Looking forward to having a read about this down the line. Suspension talk floats my boat more-so than HP mods lately.

I will be taking the KYB shocks and King springs on my car for a test run today. I will be setting them on a relatively hard setting and my mate will be taking me for a run around some twisties. The new coils shoud be coming in about a week so i will take it on the same run and write up a report for it :br:
