From inspection the diff appears to be a Cusco LSD set at 1.5 way ad can be configuerd for 2 way.

This diff is great for drifting or track racing. Very aggressive

I'm asking $650 for the diff, this is complete and assembled not just the centre and in good condition. Will fit straight into a TT z32. These diff's are normally around $1600 just for the centre.

Can pickup in Sydney or can post

If your interested PM or email me - pchoo@idx.com.au

    strength quesion

being a diff made for drifting does that mean it would be stronger than the standard TT diff??

    cheers

    Yes stronger

The outer ring gear is a standard TT gear but the centre is what has been ugraded and is definately stronger than a standard diff and it won't slip under load like a standard diff.

    Whats the advantage of this?

When compared to the stock TT diff? Car will really only be street car but *maybe* some track days and drag but pretty much street mainly

    The advantages

The advantages is a more aggressive diff that will not slip under load, allowing you to pull out of corners harder. It is also much more predictable hence favoured by drifters. I was definately pulling out of corners and bends faster with this diff and felt a lot more comfortable doing it.

The downside is slow speed driving, its a bit rough when turning tight corners in carparks, driveways etc. Similar to driving with a locked diff but not soo bad.

Some say it is dangerous in the wet but I din't find wet weather driving an issue.

All in all it is very fun to drive with and a great addition to a race car, for the street I'd recommend leaving the standard diff as it is more comfortable to drive.

The Diff came with my car when imported and the car was used on the track on Japan. I only drive it on the street so I went back to a standard diff.
