At the recent Riverland Show 'n' Shine held in Berri SA, there were 3 (count 'em, 3) Zeds entered. ALL FROM VICTORIA. And all three won trophies. WYKKED - Top Competion (it may have been 'runner-up') JEDI-77 - Top Japanese Import DREDZ - Top Modern Coupe. Pete and Mark's trophy's were pretty obvious, but the one for DREDZ came as a bit of a shock to me. Here's me, with DREDZ, just to make up the numbers and to fit in with the social scene (which is the only reason I go). Then at the Presentation night, I was called up for a trophy! When I was finally convinced that the call was genuine, I was then asked to do a pirouette on the dance floor to show off the t-shirt I was wearing (from the 2004 event). Very uncomfortable experience! It seems that the only other 'Modern Coupes' there were the usual Skyline bois, none of whom had made any effort to present their cars properly (ie unwashed, etc) and a Falcon EF drag car which had been turned into a coupe (Psycho). So, from a field of one, I won. (Which is better than other years when, from a field of three, I didn't place.) OK, so it was the only car in its class, but a dust collector is a dust collector.
Well done everyone. Just puff out the chest and keep repeating - "We scared off all the competition" [TIS] [TIS]:thumbup::thumbup::br:
Good work guys ... Did you end up having a theme in the end? Hope to attend next year, shame there wasn't much of a turnup from SA..
