As the title says, dreams are free however body kits are not So I got into contact with OO japan, if you have a spare 5K (delivered to fremantle) this is what you could have (Damm strong Yen): Front bumper with underdefuzer Side skirts with carbon fibre splitter Rear bar, looks very angry And Pentroof bonnet So anyone know how to print money as I'm out of ideas how to get this kit?
That looks horrible. The front bar is the only thing i'd ever consider having on my car. That rear bar could possibly be the worst i've ever seen.
That looks like nothing short of ass. The rear bumper doesn't look angry... it looks pissed to have ever been produced. It reminds me of all the Hondas here in the states, they cut holes in their rear bumper for some reason...
I dont mind the pentroof stuff, but agree its very pricey. Haven't heard of OO Japan before, is that an import broker? Perhaps get some quotes from a few other brokers too. That rear bumper is the one they made a wider version of for use with the beet kits (abflug makes pentroof) & everybody seems to love those versions... perhaps its just the angle? The yellow pentroof zed now lives in qld too.
Hey ketterz, for that price or maybe a bit less you could get one custom made... Maybe for the front bar you could start with something similar (like a GReddy?) and get someone to modify it for you. Try asking my friend Manny at Beyond Custom (they make Fezza replicas) in Morley... he's pretty good with fibreglass
If I had that sorta money to blow, i'd probs stick with the 2k front i have on my TT now, twinz rear bar and although the pentroof skirts look kinda cool id probably go down the kaminari road
Just so you know you can't purchase the front fascia any longer. The original mold burned in a fire that Pentroof had at their bodyshop area a few years ago. You can still get the sideskirts though and the rear...but the front bar (fascia) you will never be able to purchase it unless you find a car with it and make your own mold.
The supplier I contacted wasn't pentroof itself, some other mob which said all parts could be supplied given 10 days to make all parts. However I do not wish to spend 5k on a kit which is of unknown fit and quality from this suplier, maybe 1k.
I have to admit I quite like it too. I'm also for function over form, but the rear bar would look better on a dark Z i think.
The Pentroof Z32 holds the Bonneville speed record for it's class, probably more to do with the engine mods than the body kit. But in its day the Pentroof crowd were at the cutting edge of Niissan go fast goodies. Before you dis their kit I suggest the nay sayers do a bit of goggling to learn who actually made these beasties rip the ass of most other cars
