Ended up having to go to my kids swimming carnival. I am going to the drags over a couple of weekends so I can see what happens and how things work, and then when we have the next event I will run. That is assuming the missus doesn't book me at the last second again :bash:

EDIT: And Chris, I did see what you did there :)

Don't go at weekends. Weekends are completely different to whoop arse Wednesdays.

    Go down on a Wednesday.

    Have u never been?

The biggest eye opener is the speed of the starting lights.

Nope, never. That was the reason I was going to go and look only last week, however I was prevented from doing even that by the swimming carnival like I said.

Good idea to go and watch first then with a mate or 2. There's also a good info link somewhere I read before my first run. I'll see if I can dig it out for you.

Here you go mate. Its on the plex's own website.

I swear I read this 10 times in the run up to my first visit lol

Hey guys had a ball last Wednesday night :D stayed forever can't remember how many runs i ended up doing lol.. Could only manage a 14.282 @ 161km/h with a .405 reaction time though. With a quick RT and a good run reckon i could just crack the high 13's. I'm stoked but as the zed is all stock 9psi
Haha and that was me who lined up next to the van.. was a close one :p

Thanx heaps to Jinxed and all who helped organise this as it was an awesome night out! And some sweet photos as per usual Rossco ;) Was great catchin up with y'all and definitely looking forward to the next cruise :br:

    Apologies for the late post

Reaction times mean jack shit at the drags man, its your 60' that counts. Get yours down to about 2.1 and you should be doing 13.8's(each 1/10th you take off your 60' is about 2/10th's off your ET). Is it bog stock? no exhaust or pod filters?

wouldn't a better rt result in a quicker 60ft though..

Nah man, you can sit at the line for 10 seconds and you'll get the same time. The timer doesn't start till you start moving.

Your time doesn't start until you break the line.

    Nice time.

Having a good rt will not help you break into 13s as et is line to line, not green light to line.

You could have a ft of 5mins and still run a rt of 14 seconds.

    You'll break 13's on a nice cold night. That's all it'll take you ;)
