hi guys have searched the forum for similar articles but couldnt find much. i cant unlock my drivers door the key simply wont turn and i cant unlock it manually from the inside anyone know if i can get the door card of with the door shut or do i have to trash it?
try removing the electric window contols and see if you can see inside the door with a torch, might be able to see whats going on....(big maybe)
Does the key barrel turn at all and in any direction? Had a similar problem arise when I was working on my door handles during my build. I mistakenly aligned my handles linkage arms incorrectly and so the door lock jammed and as the door was closed I had great difficulty in opening the door. What about the central locking system? Can you see the inside cabin lock tab move when you lock and unlock the door?
so in my case the key would turn in the direction to lock the door but wouldnt unlock and there was no movement on the inside lock tab, it was also jammed . after an hour of playing if you wind down the window theres enough room to get a long flat head screw driver in thru the top of the door and push the white tab to unlock it. i looked at the other door that was working to see which part moved and hey presto door opened! thanks for the info guys, tomorow i shall pull it all apart and repair
