    Just a few questions:

Are these pods to fit 6.5 inch speakers?
How do the pods attach to the door?
Probably a silly question, but what size are the original door speakers?

    Cheers,

I am pretty interested though! Pods look good :)

Well, I can't tell you the size of the original speaker because I just can't remember, but I have a sneaking suspicion they might be 5".
These pods are manufactured to suit a 6.5" speaker, but it really just depends how large a hole I cut. I'm sure a 6" speaker wouldn't look out of place in these at all.
I'm attaching them to my door via the original three holes for the stock grill, and another two I'm drilling at the other end because I have heavy speakers and don't want to put too much stress on the original holes.
If you're interested, email me at pjtserv@bigpond.net.au, let me know asap.

There are 3 different size front speakers, one type is a 4" in a box with its own power amp, a 6" on a plate and 5x7" on a plate. 5x7" can be made to fit all z's and stay under the original grilles and is a better sonicaly.
But some like the look of pods.

Cheers for the info on the speaker sizes
but how does a speaker firing at the trans tunnel and the drivers foot compare to a directional pod i honestly think a pod would sound much clearer

    Cheers

I think I'd have to agree here. I'd imagine a pod would sound clearer with less volume loss. IMHO anyhow.
