Replaced the speakers in the doors today on the Zed. As anyone knows who has removed the door trim, the screw that holds the inside vertical door trim and is accessable through the round hole at the top of the door frame after removing the plastic cap, can very easily be lost inside the door when trying to remove or replace it after working inside the door.
This has probably been done by many before, but thought I would let you know what I did to prevent loosing the screw.
A rolled up business card works a treat to guide the screw and screwdriver to the right place. If the screw does come off the end of the screwdriver the screw just slides back out the funnel made by the card and not lost inside the door frame.
I also used the same method to guide the screw down to the hole when re-fitting the passenger inside door handle.
Saves a lot of hassel, hope it helps someone.

    Cheers John P

    good idea

I used some tail light crap (butyl mastic) on the end of my screwdriver for that, actually I've always got some handy on the handle of my screwdrivers, it works great, also better than double sided tape for accessories you want to attach without drilling.

SUGGESTED to me some time ago, and i think that it is included in his

tech article, regarding getting to/at THAT screw for the heater core box, bluez(burping garry).. the use of "blue tack" ( what else from bluez ..??) to hold the screw/nut to the screw driver is the way to go .. works tops for all such situations ...!!

and bluez .. where are you ..have not heard from you on the forum for YONKS ..???!!!:thumbsup::LOL:
