Does the cas bolt onto steel or alloy?

I'm a bit concerned about over tightening the cas bolts in case the bolt into alloy rather than steel. It looks like steel, but I want to double check.

yep alloy, just had mine powdercoated.

 

Bracket that holds CAS is alloy and that bracket is bolted to head which is also alloy. No need to overtighten CAS bolts, they are supposed to have a spring washer on each bolt and loctite can be used on bolt thread if you are concerned that they may come loose

 

Thanks guys. I think I might have not tightened them up enough and it started playing up after I hit a bump. Then the cas stopped working altogether. I tweaked the bolts a little and the car started again. Fingers crossed.
