Has anyone seen this front-bar before? Not sure what it is. Came delivered from Japan like this.

    Cheers.

Looks like a chopped and re-glassed stock bar.

    Definate custom for sure.

It's not a custom, there are a few of these on members cars. I can't remember what it is but it's definitely not custom.

It's an Impul 932S front bumper

It's an Impul 932S front bumper, as found in the Impul 928S special editions which were released in the early 90's. This is about the best pic I could find of one, you can just see it.

That shot is from Japan, looking at the damage to the front bumper they could even be the same car :)

    An Impul 932S you say

Thanks Blipman. That's an amazing find! I have never heard of an Impul 932S, but I will certainly be looking into it further.

I don't believe that the picture is the same car. The front bumper damage was done in Australia (by the mob that delivered the car to the compliance workshop )

    Thanks all for your posts!

    Cheers.

    More info

Here is the link to the Impul page, presumably this is mostly historical info now.

I don't know if you could walk into a showroom and buy the car complete or if you gave them a Z and chose which bits you wanted, whatever the case I've seen very few of these in Japan so they can't have been very popular. The Tommy Kaira in house built Z's are certainly more common than the Impuls.
